First Aid & CPR Honduras
In Honduras, no strict legal duty to train every staff member in first aid has been found for childcare centres. The 2025 Law for the Implementation of Childcare Centers and Infant Facilities creates a care framework coordinated by SENAF, but there is as yet no implementing regulation imposing first-aid certification on staff. Even without a binding mandate, having trained staff is the expected standard for any centre that cares for children responsibly.
Anafilaxia e administração de medicamentos
Honduras has no specific anaphylaxis or adrenaline framework for childcare, and adrenaline can only be obtained as a prescription ampoule, with no auto-injectors marketed. In the absence of concrete rules, a child's safety rests on how prepared the staff are. Best practice is to recognise the signs of a severe allergic reaction, obtain the family's written authorization for any of the child's medication and store it safely and clearly labelled.
Even though the law does not yet spell it out, no regulation replaces a person who knows what to do when a child stops breathing or suffers a severe reaction: the first minutes are everything. Training in pediatric first aid and CPR lets you anticipate and act with composure, and shows every family that their child is in good hands. A certification built on recognised standards puts you ahead of the rules and turns care into a genuine guarantee.
